Youth Centre
Drop in to the John Braithwaite Youth Centre for FREE. It's a fun, safe space for anyone aged 11 to 18. Programs and activities within the Centre are developed with your input. Here you can participate in a variety of activities, play games, make new friends, learn about other community resources, and connect with Centre-based Youth Workers and Youth Outreach Workers. We believe you have the right to: Feel safe from harm Have access to nutritious food Be in an environment that is free from racism, sexism and homophobia Be treated with respect by staff and other youth Give feedback and influence our youth programming Have access to counseling, liaison and ongoing support from Youth Outreach Workers (inside and outside the Centre) when you're stressed or challenged
While you're at the Youth Centre, we ask you to: Use appropriate language and behaviour Be drug and alcohol-free Respect the community centre and surrounding area Respect JBCC staff and the people who use the Community Centre Respect local residents
