Recreation is an important part of living a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The North Vancouver Recreation Commission is mandated to provide a broad range of recreational opportunities to North Vancouver District and North Vancouver City residents--regardless of age, gender, ability or economic status.

Financial Assistance Program

The Financial Assistance Program is available to all North Vancouver residents who require financial support to participate in programs at the John Braithwaite Community Centre. If you are on a limited income and need assistance to participate, we can help.

How to Apply

If you (or someone you know) needs assistance to take part in our recreation or fitness programs, call 604-982-8300 during these hours to ask for an appointment.

Monday - Friday: 9 am to 8 pm
Saturday - Sunday: 9 am to 5 pm

Please bring the following documents to your appointment:

• Proof of residence
• Proof of income level
• A referral letter from a doctor, school principal or community agency
